Strike Magazine Miami *

I joined Strike Magazine Miami as a graphic designer and eventually became Director of Graphic Design, leading the visual side of each semester’s publication. My role involved translating the magazine’s theme into dynamic, cohesive layouts that enhanced storytelling and reflected our creative vision. I worked closely with writers, photographers, and editors to ensure every spread felt intentional, on-brand, and visually engaging.

“ ‘Reflection’ is a reminder to slow down, to reflect on everything you have and the people who have gotten you to where you are. - Reflection is a hard journey, but the most rewarding. “

“ ‘The World is Yours’ is meant to empower. —the phrase gains prominence through its association with the iconic character Tony Montana in ‘Scarface.’ The World Is Yours’ becomes his guiding mantra — The film was situated in Miami which inspired the opportunity to capitalize on Miami’s distinctiveness and bring our vice flare to our issue. ”

“ ‘but you wont like the mess’ explores the uneasy balance between the pristine image we project and the chaotic truths we conceal. It examines the relentless pursuit of  perfection.”

Below are my works to this issue, primarily the cover, contents, staff pages, directors’ letters, and supporting spreads, along with overseeing the full magazine pre-print as Graphics Director.

“ ‘Living in a daydream’ explores the spaces between reality and fantasy. -In a time where reality often feels sharp, heavy, or disjointed, dreaming becomes a form of resistance.”

Below are my works to this issue, primarily the cover, contents, staff pages, directors’ letters, and supporting spreads, along with overseeing the full magazine pre-print as Graphics Director.

Across multiple semesters, I experimented with typography, grid systems, and color to match each theme while maintaining a polished, editorial feel. As Director, I also mentored designers, coordinated design timelines, and set standards that strengthened the magazine’s overall aesthetic.
